The troop started working on the Forestry merit badge on 2007-03-14. Jeff Koester is the merit badge counselor and has offered his slideshow here. Many thanks to Jeff for the file, the time spent creating it, and the rest of the work involved in getting the troop through this advanced merit badge.

The latest class for Citizenship In The Nation started 11 December, 2007. This is an Eagle required merit badge with some homework required. Some of that homework includes watching the news for five days in a row. TV, radio, newspapers and major Internet news websites are all acceptable ways to meet this requirement. Scouts should be prepared to discuss the news stories they learned about, and to discuss specifically how a national story may have an impact on their family. Other requirements include discovering the names of their Senators and Representative.
