September Campout

We will be hiking, snorkling, fishing, swimming and camping. See Bill Poe, campmaster, for permission slips due Tuesday, September 22nd. We will be meal planning on Sept. 22nd also. Check-in is at 7:45 am on 9/26/09 at the Winter Springs Civic Center and we will be leaving at 8:00 am sharp. We will return approx. 12:00 pm on Monday 9/28/09. Troop fees are $10 per person and Grub fees are $15 per person for a total of $25 per person. Emergency contacts are Bill Poe at 407-376-8534 or Jeff Koester at 407-666-9676.

2007-03-06 Summer Camp

Troop 196 will be spending 2007 summer camp at Lumpkin Scout Reservation June 17th through the 23rd.

Some information from Camp Lumpkin follows:

With more than 1000 acres and 30 miles of shoreline on beautiful West Point Lake, Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. provides a unique setting for an exciting outdoor experience. Since 1999, the Chattahoochee Council has hosted summer at Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Over four million dollars has been spent on capital development to make it one of the South's premier camping facilities.

When: May 28 - June 3, 2006

Leaving on Sun. May 28th, 11am
Boys must be checked in with the Troop leaders prior to leaving so please be on time. Plan to be at the Winter Springs Civic Center (subject to change) early to check in your son, any medicines, banking.

Return will be Saturday, June 3rd , approximately noon , depending upon morning check out time of camp. Pick up will be at the Winter Springs Civic Center (subject to change).
