An area for primitive camping in northeast Seminole County, the Little Big Econ State Forest offers plenty of sites near the Little Econlockhatchee River that are a short day hike from the parking lot. The Barr St. trailhead is a common starting point for hikes. Leaving Oviedo on 426, it is a few miles out of town on the right, marked by this sign:
